Broil King Crown 400 igniter

Crown 400 collector-box spark ignition. Match electrode lead length to the Crown schematic; Baron 10342-class is not automatic.

Igniter electrode gap at a burner port Ceramic insulator, metal tip aimed at a burner port. Spark gap about the thickness of a nickel. Crown 400 ignition is typically a battery collector with ceramics at the dual tubes. Confirm the Crown exploded view before reusing a Baron electrode SKU.

Procedure

  1. Confirm Crown 400.
  2. Tick test.
  3. Isolate dead ceramic vs dead box.
  4. Gas path check if needed.
  5. Replace electrode. Correct gap.
  6. Test lid open.
  7. Search-only.
  8. Finder if the plate is unreadable.
