Performance convective carts: G432-8S01-W1-class hose-clamp ceramics versus a piezo button. Match the 463- string and do not pry a TRU-Infrared emitter.
Fig. — Electrode: ceramic, tip, burner port, ~nickel gap.Fig. — Battery well under the side table. Two AAs. Match stamped polarity.
Performance convective ignition is usually a collector or AA module plus ceramics that hose-clamp onto 1” tubes (G432-8S01-W1 shows up on many 463- Performance carts). Piezo years still exist. TRU-Infrared Performance is not this electrode.
Tank off. Grates and tents out. Photograph the clamp and wire length.
Pull the lead at the module so you know the true length.
Unclamp the ceramic. A rusted-off rail is a firebox problem.
Fit the new ceramic so the tip is a nickel jump to the tube. The verified G432 listing above is a hose-clamp electrode — compare the connector (often square) to yours.
Seat the lead. Route off the grease hole.
Fresh cells. Tank on. Lid open. Snap, then left knob.
Family notes: Char-Broil igniter. If the panel is rusted through around the button, stop buying ceramics.
