Nexgrill 720-0830H burner tubes Four 14-7/8-inch pin-mounted tubes for 720-0830H. Match length so the inlet swallows the orifice, and do not use a five-tube 720-0896 kit.

Clean versus clogged burner ports Left tube shows even open ports and a blue flame sketch. Right tube shows grease-clogged ports and a yellow uneven flame. BURNER TUBE · PORTS CLEAN Even blue cones. Every port open. CLOGGED Grease in the holes. Yellow, lift, dead spots. Ream with a bit smaller than the port. Do not drill oversized. Brass brush the row. Keep liquid out of the venturi / inlet. If the tube wall is lace under the ports, replace the set — do not patch holes. Fig. — Burner tube: clean ports (left) versus clogged ports (right). Top-down gas firebox layers Cooking grates on top, inverted-V flavorizer bars over the burner tubes, electrode at the left tube. TOP DOWN · GAS FIREBOX 1 cooking grates 2 flavorizer bars 3 burner tubes + ports 4 electrode (left tube) LAYERS (top → bottom) 1 Grates — food sits here 2 Flavorizer / heat tents 3 Burner tubes + ports 4 Electrode at left port Lift grates, then tents, to reach tubes. Gas off. Fig. — Firebox, top down: grates, flavorizer bars, burner tubes, electrode. 720-0830H mains are usually stamped tubes about 14-7/8” × 1”, orifice at the front, cotter at the rear. A “universal 4-burner” set that is 3/4” short will not swallow the brass and pin at the same time. That gap is flashback.
Five-tube 720-0896 kits do not belong here. Confirm the stamp including H. Model number .
Safety
Tank off and out. Cold box.
Do not pry a stuck tube into a bent orifice.
Lid open for the test.
Procedure
Photograph tubes, pins, electrode, and carryover notches. Your photo is the manual.
Grates and 720-0830H tents out. Move the electrode if it blocks the left tube — Nexgrill igniter .
Straighten and pull cotter pins. Keep one as a pattern.
Lift the rear, slide off the orifice. Twist if rust-welded.
Sky-check. Extra holes or a dauber nest you cannot extract: scrap that tube.
Dry-fit the verified 14-7/8” four-pack. Inlet fully on brass; pin hole lines up without stretching.
Pin the rears. Bend the cotter so vibration will not walk it out.
Electrode nickel gap. Tents over port rows.
Tank on slowly. Soap the coupling. Lid open. Light each main, then the side burner if equipped.
After
Recheck pins after the first heat cycle.
A new tube rust-through in one season means the tent above it is missing or short.
Stack math: four tubes plus tents plus igniter plus a rusted floor is new-cart money .
