720-0864 (and 720-0864M) is another Home Depot 4-main Nexgrill. Aftermarket tents that fit 720-0830H at 14-9/16” × 4-3/16” also list 720-0864. That is a length class, not a promise. Photograph the full 720 string. Five-main 720-0896 needs five tents.

Procedure

  1. Read 720-0864 including M/R suffix. Count four mains, not five.
  2. Cold. Grates off. Measure tents 14-9/16” class vs something longer.
  3. Compare the verified 720-0830H / 720-0864 four-pack. A 5-pack leftover is not a 4-burner fit.
  4. Lift old tents. Scrape the rail. Daylight in a peak → that tent is done.
  5. Set four new tents over the four tubes. From the front, no naked port row.
  6. Grates on. Preheat. Shift gaps.
  7. Tubes lace because tents failed first: 720-0864 tubes.
  8. Wrong 720 number: finder and model plate.

FAQ

Are Nexgrill 720-0864 heat plates the same as 720-0830H?

Often the same 14-9/16” × 4-3/16” four-pack class. Confirm burner count and tape. Do not use a 720-0896 five-tent set.

What about 720-0783E?

Many 4-main HD kits list 720-0783E with 0830H/0864. Still measure. This page is for a plate that actually says 720-0864.
