Clean versus clogged burner ports Left tube shows even open ports and a blue flame sketch. Right tube shows grease-clogged ports and a yellow uneven flame. BURNER TUBE · PORTS CLEAN Even blue cones. Every port open. CLOGGED Grease in the holes. Yellow, lift, dead spots. Ream with a bit smaller than the port. Do not drill oversized. Brass brush the row. Keep liquid out of the venturi / inlet. Genesis II E-315 mains are the 300-series GS4 tubes — commonly 67489 (about 19.5” / 49.5 cm), not Spirit 18” 69787. Clamp hardware on several years is 66029 . We do not pin a 67489 ASIN until a live Amazon title clearly matches this family.
E-335 mains are the same 300 tubes; the sear is extra: E-335 tubes .
Procedure
Plate says Genesis II E-315. Photograph left/middle/right — left may carry the electrode bracket.
Tank off. Grates and E-315 bars out.
Release rear clamps. Slide inlets off orifices. Do not bend brass.
Sky-check. Extra holes → scrap. Clogged ports, sound metal: clean .
Dry-fit three 67489-class tubes. Spirit 18” will not reach the rear rail and swallow the orifice together.
Clamp. Electrode gap. Bars over ports.
Tank on slowly. Soap. Lid open. Light each main.
Stack of tubes + bars + rusted floor: repair vs replace .
FAQ
Will Spirit II 67296 tubes fit Genesis II E-315?
No. Spirit II 310 mains are 18” in a narrower box. Genesis II 300 tubes are the longer 67489 class.

Match fuel on the plate. Do not mix orifices.
