Q 2200 is the larger portable. Ignition is still 64868 (2014+ electronic AAA kit shared with Q 1200). Do not buy Q 3200 cart parts (63788 family) or Q120/Q220 80462. The 2200 grate and lid are not 1200 parts even when the igniter kit is the same.
Procedure
- Plate says Q 2200 (often 540xxxxx). Photograph the ceramic clip — 2200 boxes still use one primary electrode in this kit.
- Lid up. Button test: AAA first, then module, then ceramic.
- Snap, no gas: regulator. Garage Qs nest spiders in a short venturi.
- Tank off. Grate off. Pull the lead at the button body.
- Unclip ceramic. Vacuum shards from the shallow 2200 box — they short to the lid easily.
- Clip the 64868 electrode. Nickel gap. Lead fully on.
- New AAA. Lid up. Wind is a 2200 problem; rotate the cart.
- If the lid is cracked or the stand will not lock, skip the electrode: repair vs replace.
