Weber Spirit E-310 burner tubes

Three-tube Spirit E-310 / Spirit II E-310: 18-inch mains, crossover, GS4 versus original, and why a 69785 E-210 kit will not seat on three orifices.

Clean versus clogged burner ports Left tube shows even open ports and a blue flame sketch. Right tube shows grease-clogged ports and a yellow uneven flame. BURNER TUBE · PORTS CLEAN Even blue cones. Every port open. CLOGGED Grease in the holes. Yellow, lift, dead spots. Ream with a bit smaller than the port. Do not drill oversized. Brass brush the row. Keep liquid out of the venturi / inlet. If the tube wall is lace under the ports, replace the set — do not patch holes.

The E-310 is a three-burner cart. The tubes are longer in count, not always in length, than an E-210. A two-tube 69785 kit leaves the middle orifice naked. That is a flashback, not a bargain.

This note is front-control Spirit 300 / Spirit II E-310. Side-knob 2007–2012 Spirit 300 uses a different tube (often 67722). Read the data plate.

Safety

Procedure

  1. Photograph tubes, electrode, and crossover. Count three mains.
  2. Grates and three flavorizer bars out.
  3. Disconnect the left electrode only if it blocks the tube — pull the spade, do not snap the ceramic. See E-310 igniter.
  4. Rear retainers off. Lift the back of each tube and slide off the orifice. Twist, do not pry the valve.
  5. Sky-check old tubes. Extra pinholes or a crumbled inlet: scrap.
  6. Dry-fit each new tube. Inlet swallows brass; rear hole lands on the retainer without stretching. If the third tube will not land, you have a 210 kit. Stop.
  7. Tighten retainers after all three are seated. Refit the crossover so it contacts every tube.
  8. Electrode gap about a nickel. Bars centered over port rows.
  9. Tank on. Soap the coupling. Lid open. Light left, then walk middle and right. Even blue rows. A jet at the front is a missed orifice.
