Weber Spirit SX-315 Flavorizer bars

Spirit SX-315 uses five stainless Flavorizer bars (OEM 68843 class on SX 300 schematics). Confirm SX / front-control Spirit 315 — not Genesis 17.1-inch bars.

Spirit SX-315 is a Spirit 300-class cart with a side burner. Weber SX schematics list 68843 as the five-bar stainless Flavorizer set. Length tracks front-control Spirit 300 ~15.3” class (also sold as aftermarket for Spirit II 300), not Genesis II 17.1”. Side-knob pre-2013 Spirit 300 is a different length — read the plate.

Procedure

  1. Plate: Spirit SX-315 / Spirit 315. Photograph front knobs vs any side-control vintage.
  2. Cold. Grates off. Measure bars — five pieces, Spirit 300 length (~15.3”), not Genesis.
  3. Lift bars. Scrape rails. Hole in a peak → replace that bar.
  4. Dry-fit five 68843-class bars. A three-bar 210 set leaves two tubes naked.
  5. Grates on. Preheat. Close gaps over ports.
  6. Tubes lace under failed bars: SX-315 tubes.
  7. Side burner complaint is separate — do not cover it with a main-box bar.
  8. Unsure of year: Weber data plate.

FAQ

Can I use Spirit II E-310 porcelain bars?

Many aftermarket 15.3” five-packs list Spirit / Spirit II 300. Match length and count. OEM porcelain 67046 is Spirit II naming — tape-check before you keep the box.
