Spirit II E-310 (2017+ GS4) is not a relabeled original E-310. The cook box, burner rails, and igniter harness are II-specific. Weber’s schematic lists 67053 as the complete AA kit and 66220 as the button. Original Spirit 7642 kits click on a II cart and still miss the GS4 electrode tab.

Do not order Genesis II Infinity parts. Do not order Q 64868. Two-burner II: Spirit II E-210 igniter. Original 310: Spirit E-310 igniter.

Diagnose

Procedure

  1. Tank off. Three grates and five 15.3” bars out. Spirit II E-310 flavorizers.
  2. Photograph collector posts and the color/length of the electrode lead. Aftermarket 67053 kits vary in wire length — your photo is the return argument.
  3. Disconnect the spade at the collector. Unclip the ceramic from the left GS4 tube only.
  4. Vacuum ceramic dust from the rail. A shard shorts the next spark to the box.
  5. Clip the new electrode at the factory tab. Nickel gap. Do not aim at a flavorizer peak.
  6. Seat the 15-1/4” crossover across all three tubes. A Spirit 210 10-1/2” crossover leaves the right main dark.
  7. Two fresh AAs. Lid open. Snap, then left-knob start, then walk middle and right open.
  8. Side burner (if equipped) has its own short lead. Mains light, side dead → that lead only.

FAQ

Is Weber 67053 the same as 7642?

No. 7642 is original front-control Spirit 210/310. 67053 is Spirit II 310 (2017+). Button 66220 and electrode 67055 live in the II kit.

Do I need three electrodes on a Spirit II E-310?

Usually no. One left ceramic plus a 15-1/4” crossover lights all three mains. Three ceramics means you are looking at a different family (often Genesis II).
