Clean versus clogged burner ports Left tube shows even open ports and a blue flame sketch. Right tube shows grease-clogged ports and a yellow uneven flame. BURNER TUBE · PORTS CLEAN Even blue cones. Every port open. CLOGGED Grease in the holes. Yellow, lift, dead spots. Ream with a bit smaller than the port. Do not drill oversized. Brass brush the row. Keep liquid out of the venturi / inlet. If the tube wall is lace under the ports, replace the set — do not patch holes.

Spirit II E-310 GS4 mains are 18” tubes with insect screens, mixture shutters, and a forked rear tab. Weber lists 67296 as the three-burner kit and 67279 as the 15-1/4” crossover with drip shields. Original Spirit 300 69787 aftermarket sets often list “Spirit II 300” — measure the left-tube electrode bracket and the crossover shields before you keep the box.

Two-burner II: Spirit II E-210 tubes. Original 310: Spirit E-310 tubes.

Safety

Procedure

  1. Photograph all three tubes, the crossover, and the left electrode bracket.
  2. Grates and II E-310 bars out. Move the 67053 electrode if it blocks removal.
  3. Release rear hardware. Lift rear, slide off orifices. Label left / middle / right — the left tube is not identical.
  4. Sky-check each tube. Port row clogged but sound metal: clean ports. Extra holes or split seam: replace.
  5. Dry-fit three 18” GS4 mains. Inlet fully on brass; forked tabs land without stretching the tube.
  6. Clip the 15-1/4” crossover so it bridges all three. A 210 10-1/2” crossover leaves the right main dark.
  7. Electrode nickel gap. Bars over ports. Grates on.
  8. Tank on slowly. Soap. Lid open. Light left, walk middle and right.

FAQ

Do Spirit II E-310 tubes fit an original Spirit E-310?

Do not assume it. GS4 geometry (screens, shutter, electrode tab, crossover shields) is II-specific. Match the schematic for the year on the plate.

LP or NG kit?

Order the fuel on your plate. Venturi shutters and orifices differ. We do not invent a 67296 ASIN; aftermarket 69787-class listings that name Spirit II 300 still need a tape check.
